Coupe/4K Sparco strut brace

I have the Sparco strut brace ready to go into my Coupe (two braces, actually),
but I cannot seem to find a way around the small aluminum (?) A/C tube
that runs along the left side strut tower.  Has anyone installed a brace
into their Coupe or 4K (or early 80/90??) WITH the A/C system in it?
What did you do to get the brace into the car?

PLEASE let me know if you have any ideas.  I wanted to get this installed
before the driving school this weekend, although at this point it doesn't
look good...  :(
