Dumb horn wire

While removing the steering wheel cover on my 90Q, the horn wire to the
cover broke inside the steering column. The problem is that I cannot find
where the wire exits the steering column to say, the horn relay or
whatever, so that I can splice a new wire through the column to the horn
switch.

The question is whether anyone else has BTDT and can give the clue that
would save some time.
