An adjustable retrospective inquiry.
Audi to all, several years ago I test drove a gorgeous green S4 at Chriswell in
Annapolis. One of the features the car had, in addition to
power/handling/grace/competence, was that the outside mirrors would 'look down'
upon shifting into reverse. I now find that with my '87 5kCSq the outside
mirrors are located sufficiently far forward that to see where you are backing
requires a neck stretch rivaling the yoga position known as 'the stork.'
Has anyone retrofitted this feature onto their vehicle? Is there a separate
control box or is this built into those mirrors? Does this feature appear on
other series/models? Anyone willing to part with said unit or steer me in
direction of one... preferably cheap?
