I was brilliant enough to pull into a carport with two mb's on the
roof....;-)
It gets a little better.
The carport was constructed of that corrugated aluminum stuff.
The bikes pushed the roof straight up about three feet...looked like
a dinosaur ran into it.  Completely destructed looking.  Bikes had
minimal damage, roof rack totally fine (Thule), rain gutters on
Syncro also no problem.
A little better still...;
Seconds after this happens, my buddy's apartment manager decides to
come outside with prospective leaser ;-)
Still better...
Rather than jump up and down screaming about the mess, the manager
decides not to acknowledge the indcident whatsoever...continues a
nice conversation with my buddy...and then walks away (?)
Better...
The poor potential leaser has this look on his face like "this ????
happens all the time?"
Finally...
We pull the car out after some force and component removal.  Go for
our ride.  Come back later that night and the damage is completely
GONE.  Can't even tell that it happened.  No notes from
management...never heard a word.  Completely surreal (yet hilarious)
situation.
