Buy A4 or wait for Synchro Release in the US? -Reply

Michael, 
Hang on a little longer and I'll try to get some more specs for you,
BUT a lister on the Passat group is a VW dealer and just received the
dealer pack on the new '98+ Passats.
This much IS confirmed to date...
(1)  Syncro is delayed, others are to be announced later this month. 
Could be early next year before the Syncro.
(2)  GLS (1.8t), GLS (V6) & GLX (V6)  will be available with Syncro. 
TDI will not....;-)...I kind of liked that idea.
(3)  Tiptronic available on same as above, std auto avail on TDI.
(4)  Sedan will NOT look as nice as A4 (FACT;-))  Wagon may be better
looking, but not confirmed yet as to whether or not wagon will be
available immediately.
Give me a little time and I'll get some more dirt from the VW guy
asap.
