     Our 92 100 CSQW has this "feature" but our 92 100 S doesn't.  I 
     normally don't use it though.  I do think that Audi mirrors are well 
     designed and give a useful view of what is behind or in the next lane. 
     This contrasts with some of the interesting to look at but impractical 
     to look through devices that I have seen attached to recent American 
     and Japanese vehicles.  I don't think that it is anything special 
     built into the mirrors.  You shift into reverse and it moves to full 
     looking down at the ground for small dogs position.  You could do that 
     manually if so desired.  You can also turn it on or off depending on 
     the position of the buttons that control mirror adjustment.
