Dunno about the crash testing stuff but back home in Blighty I used to have
a Nissan Sunny GTI with the above 2-litre engine (a Sunny is like a Sentra
hatch-back). The car was like a fuel injected roller-skate! Great fun to
drive. Admittedly you had to rev the engine to 7,500rpm to get the best out
of it but it would waste other cars and still not look too "nickable".
Anyway back to Audi Quattros:
I'd just like to say a big THANK YOU to Scott Oliver and Phil Payne who
advised me on my check engine light. I didn't realise my car was so "clever"
and capable of telling me what was wrong with it. What's worse is that the
dullards at the garage didn't know either!
Yesterday I took the car to the garage recommended by Scott and they fixed
the problem by cleaning up one of the sensors. They also sorted out the
electric windows and central locking and replaced some misc. hoses. Now the
car runs like a charm. All this was done on time, at a reasonable cost and
in a friendly, no pressure manner.
Once again "Thanks".
