Idle problems subsided..!



Thanks for the suggestions regarding my hot start/chugging idle
problems with my 85 4KQ.

In addition to the comments here, a service guy at the dealer
suggested replacing the vaccuum lines first, as he said that
could cause all the problems I was having.

I tried a bottle of fuel injector cleaner, changed the plugs
(slightly brown, large gap), and sprayed what I could get at
of the remaining original vacuum hoses with WD-40.

Something worked - the idle is back down to 9-12, is consistent,
and I haven't had a starting problem in the last week or so.

If it comes back, I'll try looking for a vaccuum problem.
