HELP!
Have I offended the Audi gods?  How could I after Hairy green toads 
from Mars made me sing much praise for and made me enjoy the experience 
of driving, the wifes 96 A4 2.8 automatic quattro? 

The car will be one year old in September and has 7600 miles on it, the 
upshifts are wonderfully smooth but I am noticing a distinct "thunk" 
when slowing down to stop/turn at just under 25mph. It is very 
noticeable and, initially, I went to check the trans. fluid but nowhere 
in the owners manual does it tell you how !

So, before I take it in : 
A. has anyone else experienced this problem. 
B. how do I check the darn fluid level!

Also, last March I took it in for the B pillar rattle and they told me 
they adjusted the drivers door. However, after subscribing to the 
quattro group I know that this isn't the problem. The darn thing still 
rattles (always when its cold and on hot days it , mostly,  goes away). 
Has anyone had this fixed by a dealership that I can have MINE call to 
ask advice!!!
