UrQ-->Location of fuel pump relay
Sean,
>
Well, I have verified the fuel pump relay. I located the red relay
with the
p/n 431 951 253H with the car running, I pulled it. It kept happily
idling. This brings another question to mind, if the pump is hard
wired,
why doesn't it run during a stall? The pump doesn't come on when I
turn on
the key, and it doesn't run after a stall.
I took the rosary into the car with me and all of a sudden it
clouded
over and my rosary started to burn me hand...

Be gone! Be gone!
Looks like it is time to get out the DVM and start doing some continuity
checks.
Now that you have the relay in sight, I would perform a check between
the relay
power output and the +12V side of the FP. I would also check out the
line between
the ECU FP relay control and the actuation of the relay. These checks
would tell you if
the factory wiring layout is still functioning. Make sure to disconnect
the battery and
perform point to point checks with relays and such removed. I chased my
tail
for a while in this section of wiring when I was integrating the MC
electronics into
my ur-q.
Sounds like someone has been up in your dash before. Good luck.
