V8 brake pads

I changed the front pads on my 90 V8q yesterday, in the rain.  I have
non-UFO brakes and Audi wanted $250 for two front pairs.  Since I needed
my car right away I went to a foreign autopart chain.  I tried to explain
UFO brakes and  how I had the factory changeover to regular discs used on
100s.  He only said "do ya got the girlings or the ATS brakes"- my
calipers had "Girling 60" written on them and I said "da Girlings".  He
gave me these tiny pads and I had him double check-"these are for da
Girlings".  Alas they were the wrong pads- they had no sensor wiring as
well.  I returned and he gave me the ATS pads with the wiring- they were
the ones.  Question is, are the 2 part listings for V8 brakes for UFO and
nonUFO or are there two types of disc brake systems (calipers) Audi
retrofitted onto the V8?
	Also the sensor plug on the new pads were like  the ones on my
5KS.  The V8 sensor plugs are different and I had to splice the old plug
onto my new pads.  For $250 from Audi you probably get the correct sensor
plug.  BTW once I had a 6 inch C-clamp, installation was a breeze.
