How about neither.  The Audi platforms are completly different from the VW
platforms. The Quantum is based on the 4000, although if you get really
technical VW owns and did teh development, so....the only A1's are 'Rocco's,
GTi/Rabbits, and cabriolets.  A2's are Golf/Jettas.
