Re: Ronal's R8 15x8

I stand corrected ... mind you, my 7x15s also have the extended outside lip
and look virtually the same as my Ur-Q's 8x15s when they have a tire mounted
on them.

When I was thinking about preparing my '85 4000s for competition in the
SCCA's D-Street Prepared class, I put together some 8.5x15 wheels using a
pair of Revolution 3-piece rim halves and a custom center made from wood. I
installed a tube so they'd hold air and mounted a tire on them ... guess
what? They didn't even come close to fitting under the fenders, no matter
what offset I used ... I tried again with an 8x15 wheel and found the same
thing was also true. In fact, my 7x15s have a 25mm offset (virtually the
same as with the Ur-Q's 8x15s) and evem they rubbed with 195/50-15 General
XP-2000s at full bump...

If what you're saying is true (and I don't doubt it), I guess it means
there's more room in the Coupe than in the sedan...
