Would you be competitive if the ITA cars had to weigh, let's say, 300 more
lb?
I think it is a good beginning of an idea. I believe the problems of slick
versus street tires (production cars mixed with IT) is tougher to solve.
I used to run in ITA, quite competively, in Florida. Other than Mike
VanSteemburg(sp?), there usually weren't many other frontrunners to play
with and it wasn't really very satisfying. Now I run a SRF and it is a
downright blast! Why? because the class is always fairly big and ALWAYS
close racing. So, I guess I support consolidation, if it is done
thoughtfully, and weights/intake restricters/whatever are adjusted
carefully to create close racing.
