Well, believe me, if you stand in front of an running engine with either
a crankshaft seal or a clutch thrust bearing squealing, you would
swear on your mother's grave that the noise comes from the front of the
engine. BTDT.
There's a classic trick with the belts - apply some washing up liquid,
let it run, and apply some water.
Otherwise, your noise is a clutch noise (one of several) and it's $$$.
