Re: Bearings

Schaley also make's adapter pieces for use with their bearing presses,
so you can pull the 5k's bearings. I have the Scheley bearing press,
with ALL it's pieces! You can usually get the extra pieces
from Schaley, or Rod at Part's Connection, usually stocks them.
Parts Connection ,1-800-472-1144 has the bearings also!

As far as "renting" the bearing tool, you'll have to ask around!
Personally, I only rent to people within the same city! Much safer
that way!

I've also come to the conclusion that removing the entire strut
to remove the bearing, is much easier, than trying to "muscle-out"
the bearings inside a cramped wheel well!(BTDT several times)
Especially with 'Northern' cars, since the bearings like to corrode
to the strut!

Not to mention the two large "extra" tools required in order to use
the Schaley bearing tool! Air ratchets wont work(BTDT).

Either way it takes time, and is an "involved" job!
