If you connect a dwell meter to the freq. valve you will be able to see
the duty cycle of operation. In the US it is supposed to be set about
35-45 degrees on 4cyl scale. The FV also has a plug for the dwell meter
it is usually near the right strut tower. It is a 2 pin white plug with 1
wire being brown and the other blue or green.
You can leave the meter connected and drive the car and watch
operation. The higher the reading the more fuel the computor is trying to
feed the engine.
One other note I once tryed a grey market car computer in our 83 us car
and it ran very poorly-not enough fuel. Was the computer working
differently ? I did not take the time to find as engine pinged badly.
