Identification stickers on body panels

Hello..
I just bought a 98 a4 2.8 q. I had a 97 but traded up for the new engine and
standard trans..A question I had was that there are none of the stickers on
the doors trunk lid etc that say the vin # and bar code like my 97
had..anyone else notice thsi is have they been removed fro some reason..the
reason Im concerned is that the paint looks inconsistent from soem
angles..it is silver.but afdter asking question about that on this group it
seems that other have the same problem with their silver paint..
