Re: AoA has ruined the new A6

i should clarify that my objections are over the americanization of the
new A6, not a old vs. new thing. i *love* the way the european (and rest
of the world for that matter!) version looks. audi stylists are simply on
a roll here. you will never see the japanese, bmw or mercedes do anything
so bold, so futuristic and so uninhibited. the other companies are too
conservative and so are their buyers.

not only have they royally f***ed up the dramatic effect of the bumpers
they have also softened the suspension for US tastes. that is also
horrid if the regularly suspended A4 is anything to go by.

but really, this is not unprecedented. americanized golfs and jettas are
selling extremely well. they call it "listening to the customer" and
"the customer is always right". and the numbers don't lie. sadly.

well, it's about time the enthusiasts (a minority, sadly) made their
views heard. otherwise AoA will simply continue to trample us with
their americanized products. i for one will be crossing out the
americanized A6 from my shopping list. and if they decide to
give us a detuned S4 w/ a single turbo, i'll strike that one off
to. i'll run the v8 for a million miles if i have to. at least
it's a "real" audi.

sorry for the rant, but this has been building for years...
