well, i don't want to ruffle anybody's feathers but i think that
aftermarket suspension is far more difficult than most people will
admit. usually one can gain a 5% increase in handling for a 10%
deterioration in ride and/or other desirable characteristics. i don't
believe that aftermarket suspenders spend anywhere the amount of
testing and development that the factory does, and the result is far
less optimal than anything coming from the factory. just my opinion
and i'd be happy to be proven wrong. the only suspension piece i
would be comfortable upgrading are the shocks.

this i agree to a certain extent. one can't simply install arbitrary
sized wheels/tires and automatically gain. there is a cutoff point
where further increases lead to deterioration.
