Re: Light removal

Hi Smitty,

In a message dated 97-09-14 18:27:09 EDT, you write:

<< Nivi,Open the hood, the trim below the headlight (body color) has a single

screw on the end next to the radiator.>>

Found the single screw originally...the trim piece was quite secure on the
outside of the car (near the turn signals), I just want to make sure I don't
damage anything...in what direction should I pull? (after the washer nozzle
removal)

<<Remove the screw and the trim
piece. If the car has headlight washers, they must be removed first.Pull the

washer assy. forward, snap off the spray cover,>>

Also did the cover, came right off...no probs there...

<<clamp the hose so it doesn't retract.>>

Could you describe the color of this hose?? (Not to be anal, but I want to do
it correctly, as we *all* know how expensive replacements are!)

<<Remove the spray jet assy.>>

Just pull?? Rotate? TIA...

<<The h'light assy is held in place by 4 screws, 2 on the top of the
grille support and 2 below the headlight.Headlight and turn signal come
out together. The turn signal is attached to the headlight by a clip on
the rear of the h'light assy. After the clip is released the turn signal
 slides forward to remove.Good luck.>>

Thanks Smitty, hopefully with your response to my above questions, this
should be easy, but it's amazing that Audi makes things so complicated! WAIT,
I have a CQ - I should know already!!! I guess they want to keep us
stymied...
