Did you find any adverse side affects as a result of the long lines to
and from the regulator?

I also have found temperature extremes to really influence boost, but I
always figured it was more than just the regulator. I figured at low
ambients, that the intercooler was working better, the air was denser in
the first place, and so the resultant manifold pressure was higher.
