Some applicable BMW information that applies to Audis

I've documented my recent high pressure power steering hose problems in
recent posts.  While doing a search on the net I came across a BMW page
that shares many common things with the Audi.  Posts to the BMW mailing
lists have been indexed and categorized.  I found a lot of useful
information that can be applied to the Audi.

This page had suggestions on repairing the hose by taking the hose to a
hydraulics place and re-using the metal ends with a new hose in the
middle.  I was given the same advice by several Audi-list members.

We are all aware of the archived Audi digests, and hopefully some of you
might find some good applicable information on this BMW site to
complement the Audi list advice.
