4k taillights

Hey all,

I had another lister send me out a left taillight from what was supposed
to be an '85 4k, for my '85 4k.  I got it yesterday and test fitted it,
it turns out the light is different than mine.

There is a horizontal "groove" in the light that probably runs the whole
length of the taillight assembly on the donor car.  My car has no groove
like this.  It does not match at all.

Does anyone know why they are different?  The look of my existing,
original lights is much "cleaner" IMO.
