   I reused the head bolts on my '86 5kcstq when I did the head.  Worked
great until the water pump blew and 
the temperature shot up.  I immediately turned the car off and several days
later I replaced the water pump. I did 
not anticipate any problems because the temp never got anywhere near danger
zone. Turned the car on, filled up the reservoir and put the cap on the
reservoir bottle. The reservoir bottle blew as well as that expensive upper
radiator cooling hose.  The cause: a blown head gasket.  Granted, this time
I will use the Raceware Head Studs but I would NEVER reuse the stock head
bolts!
