Re: 4000CS Q Oil Pressure & Right Turns



My oil pressure light came on intermitently for a while a couple of years ago (although now that you mention it, it did seem to favour cloverleaves).  
The problem was a faulty switch or sender and would've cost a bunch to fix.  As there is a gauge in the car, I didn't see the point.  Oddly enough, it 
hasn't happened in ages, I guess the Audi gods do occasionally smile.

I get between 3-5 bar cold and 2-5 bar hot on an engine with 200,000 miles and the original oil pump.  One lifter does tick, and has done so reliably 
after startup for the last 100k miles.  Ticks a little less after an oil change and a little more if I don't keep an eye on the oil level.
