In order to conserve space, Phil may be interested in a
used Micro fiche reader that I purchased  a couple of years
ago from a surplus store in the US.

It was made by a division of Bell and Howell called "Micro
Design". The model is referred to as "The Portable". This
micro-fiche reader  looks like a thick brief case. The case
opens up and has a screen on the top cover and the dual
fiche tray on the bottom. The lens assembly flips over on
top of the fiche tray. It comes with a cigarette lighter
adapter to allow it to run off of 12VDC. It also has a
power cord for US operation 115VAC 60Hz.

This type of micro-fiche reader could save him some badly
needed space in that boot.......
