The obvious question (to me, anyway) is how does the NHTSA calculate these
stats?  I suspect it's fairly easy to determine how many people were killed
by an airbag (then again, maybe not) but determining how many people were
"saved" seems *much* more problematic since the mere fact that an airbag
deployed and they lived doesn't necessarily imply a causal relationship
between the two event.
