UI's back again!

Hi all,

No, not on Audis this time. It's DAF (our Dutch pride?) buses that are
suffering from this problem- apparently, the fuel pump regulator bit in the
computer goes haywire, making the engine run at full speed. A couple of
buses (only one type's affected) have gone off for a ride when idling
driverless in the workshop, and last week one decided to grab a bite and
entered a restaurant. The driver tried in vain to get it to stop (black box
shows he did!) but the engine overcame the brakes. A couple of people were
injured. DAF's working on this problem- they have no clue what's causing
it. Let's hear it for public transport! ;-)

Not driver error this time, I guess...

Tom

PS changed front discs and pads on my 80 today. Brakes like new again,
investment equiv. $90 and 40 minutes. Another job off the list...
