Tie Rod removal tool

I found a good and inexpensive tool for tie rod end/ball joint removal
available thru J.C. Whitney.
It is the type pictured in the Audi 5000 Haynes manual on page 275 (ill. 20.2)
I tried detaching the tie rod end from the strut housing with a gear puller
and it was very difficult and did some damage to the stud end.
This tool however works very well.

It is priced at $10.99 in a recent JC Whitney catalog #94NF, page 56, item #
81RZ2149N, "ball joint and tie rod end remover".
