Rear struts on S4; Bentley wrong

According to the service records I got with my '92 S4, the struts were
never changed. I bought tool 3017A after flipping through the Bentley.

The rears struts are done just like those in front, using an Allen key
to hold the piston rod and taking a box wrench or half-socket to
the piston rod nut. 3017A, aside from being a 17mm socket (when the
nut is 19mm), is configured to hold a pin at the end of the piston rod
shaped like:
        __
       (__)

So, I ended up buying 3017A for nothing. (Of course, if I hadn't
bought it, I would have needed it.)
