RE: 10 Speaker Sound
The crossovers for the front speakers are in the front doors. I don't
know whether the speakers in the dashboard are also connected through
these crossovers or if they are simply connected parallely to the them.
The auxilliary amplifier is in fact an active crossover. It is located
in the trunk (easily visible). It is powered directly from the battery
(red wire with fuse tube under the rear seat). If it doesn't get power,
the rear speakers won't work at all. Mine was working intermittently, so
when I was upgrading my system to the new head unit with stronger
amplifier, I replaced it with a passive crossover. A bad contact at the
duo-sound unit on the rear shelf can also cause the rear speakers not to
work.
