Wrong side? Fighting talk my friend, but lets not start that again.
It would indeed be much easier to list the countries that drive on the left.
A few countries have changed from left side to right side. One of the
Scandinavian countries (Sweden I think) changed at a particular time and date.
At that time all drivers on the road had to pull to the kerb and stop. After
10 minutes they were then allowed to restart, but travelling on the other side
of the road.
I was at a dinner some years ago where one of the speakers was an engineer
from the DoT. He attributed the strange design of new road intersections to
the possiblity that at some time in the future the UK may be required to drive
on the right - not as far fetched as it sounds if you consider some of the
directives passed by the EC.
A last tale - possibly untrue - the original plans for the road change of a
central African country called for a staggered change, first sunday all
vehicles over 10 tons would change, second sunday all vehicles over 3 tons and
thrid sunday all other vehicles.
Having driven in Mozambique and India, at times it appears that this is what
is happening anyway but the cause is usually an unwritten rule that you drive
in the shade and avoid the pot holes.
