4kq engine barely runs

HELP,
	The other day I had to Hot Wire my Car to get it to start. (My
ignition switch was bad and I had to run to the store to get a 24mm socket
for the steering wheel nut.  Anyhow, The car overheated very badly and now
it doesn't run right.  Compression seems fine, the plugs dont get wet and
there is no anti-freeze in the oil so I think head gasket is OK>  The car
runs fine when cold but once it warms up it runs really bad.  Is there a
cold-start valve or something that is sticking because of the heat.  I
replaced the rotor as it was a little charred but that didn't help.  Any
suggestions would be much appreciated.  I was dumb and I guess now I am
paying for it once again.  Dang, the curse of the back yard Audi mechanic
strikes again.  Argghhh.  
	Well, I better go.  I am going to fix that switch now before I dig
in any further.  Thanks in advance.  L8R
