No S4/S6!?!

Arrrrghhhh! (I don't have legit argument as of yet for the above
statement-- I'm just fuming)
---- Five minutes later, after regaining some self control----
In my opinion-
Audi must beat the M3 in looks, (they already have) brut power, (done
that too) and in handling (still slightly behind, but hellooooooo,
Quattro...) for a price a few thousand above or below that of the M3.
Unfortunately, they will have to do about $8K worth of cost cutting to
bring down the projected USD rate of $50K to a more M3-ish rate of $42K.
If they can't do so they will have a hard time getting potential M3
buyers to even consider the Audi.
I think if Audi took some time with it, they could easily match and
even beat the M3 in the handling department... I mean they already have
Quattro, and they proved their prowess around the track, winning 7 major
Super Touring Championships _in one year_...
I think that if Audi were serious about competing with BMW in the "euro
sports seden" market, they would go through the hassel that BMW did to
bring the M3 over. It is definitely worth it for them in the long run...
I beleive that essentially the same goes for the new S6... however from
what the euro magazines have reported, it will go for quite a few
thousand _less_ then the new M5.
These are the exact types of cars that magazines _love_. How many times
have you seen M3s in the magazines in the last year and a half??? These
cars are what Audi _needs_ to utalize in order to bolster their self
proclaimed image as a sporting car company.
Audi is making a big mistake, in my opinion, not bringing the two above
mentioned cars over. ... if not to gain new Audi enthusiasts, but in
order not to _lose_ the existing Audi enthusiasts and assert themselves
as a serious player in the sports sedan market.
My $2.50...
