Said V8 quattro?  Porbably a V8 quattro, then.  THey are huge.  I got the
4000 back, sort of.  Took me 3 hours to put the new badges on, for some
reason Advanced didn't do it.  THey took the stripe off one side, not off the
other.  The doors are a different color than the front and rear fender, there
is overspray on the side trim, the paint is rough in places, the key doesn't
work to lock or unlock the door, IT WAS DIRTY, they didn't finish taking the
paint off the tips, they didn't vacumme the inside, instead left huge white
footprints on the carpet, there is some white material all over the shift
boot, I don't think they aligned it, it pulls badly to the left and the
steering wheels is off center, there is some rattle everytime the car moves
(I think one of the seatbelt clips is broken.)  I had the choice of leaving
the car at the place to get more dirty and scratched for another week or two,
or I could take it and put it away, so that's what I did.  Total?  Nice,
1438.57 plus 444$, so just under 1900$.  I can see that the bottom of the
fender, where it meets the rocker, isn't straight.  THey hapharzardly painted
HALF of the inner fender black, so the other half is greyish.  They removed
the red paint for the wheel, but didn't repaint it.  THe centercap does not
properly fit.  The mounted the chin spoiler, nice gleamy white, but didn't
paint the bottom of the bumper, so the black primer reflects on the spoiler.
  They ran the car in the wet, so dirt spun off the belts onto the bottom of
the hood, which had taken me about 6 hours to clean.  I am personally
insulted by this company, am seriously considering taking them to court if
the car is not fixed properly next week.  I sincerely doubt that if I were 40
and walked in with the same problem I would have been charged as much or left
treated in such a way.  As I sat last night over the car, struggling to
remove the old double sided tape to put the new badges on, I came close to
tears.  At least one thing came back better than before...they fixed the
power locks, for some reason.  But that doesn't help, I cna only lock and
unlock the car from the trunk or with the windows down. DO NOT GO TO ADVANCED
AUTO BODY IN PEACEDALE, RI, UNLESS IT IS TO GIVE THEM A COURT SUMMONS.  I was
taken by them, but hopefully, as I write down everything I thought was wrong,
everything will be fixed.  
Hey steve, Bob could have done a better job.  No shit.  And a hell of a lot
cheaper.
