quattro shopping

Hi I'm new to the list. We are looking at trading the SUV for a quattro.I
think we will look at 5kq/100q and 200q and want to spend 4-9k$. A 5spd
wagon would be nice.

Are there any years that I should avoid? What about high milage turbos?
