 I am looking to purchase a used 89 200 tq with 135,000 miles.  Car
had a squeaking
noise whichs turns out to be the center console.  The console is not
bonded to the the side of the hump/foot well, and I can stop the squeak if
if I apply a rearward pressure.  When I looked at my current 1989 200
turbo, the center console was pressed tight against the hump/foot well -
I suspect that the center console was pulled out (or both sides pulled
loose) for some reason but I
am curious why.  Any thoughts what repair would
require this other than a wreck? Body does not show any evidence of a
front end impact.
