Please let us know how you do in "pressing Audi to do the conversion" in an
eight year-old car (for which they've already evidently done a replacement
under warranty.) Anyway, why do the conversion unless there is a
significant problem? Do _you_ detect excessive vibration/pulsing due to
warped rotor(s)? Your "trusted Audi dealer" does have some
conflict-of-interest involved in reporting a warp problem to you (unless of
course, you came to him/her with a specific complaint). If it doesn't
bother you at present, I'd just wait (unless Audi decides to make you a
gift of new rotors ;-)

My '91 200q had the conversion done just before I purchased it last month.
It's probably not as heavy as the V8, and I have no earlier experience by
which to compare. But while the new brakes ( Repco pads) work very
smoothly, I do sense that pedal effort is a wee bit higher than I'd expect
(or like?). I suppose other brands of brake pad might help offset the
reduced amount of swept area with the conversion brakes.

BTW, anyone able to comment on the weight of the '90 V8 rel. to 200q?
