RE: Loud Clicking noise



Your mechanic is probably right, as it is a common problem with Audis.
Bad news - when the manifold is being removed, usually couple of studs
get broken. Then the head must be removed, the broken studs drilled out
etc, so it's good opportunity to inspect the head and replace what needs
replacing while it's already dismantled.
