the '92 100Q uses the new VW 4 speed that first appeared on the '90
passat, not the old 3 spd that has been around forever.

the chief foreman at my dealership owns a fwd '90 200 w/ the old 3 speed
slush.  he refuses to chip us his car because he claims that any more
power and the tranny is toast.

i will find out for sure what the'92 100Q uses.  the ZF unit on the v8
and the 7 series bmws have the 3 mode switch (S,E,M) while i only
recall seeing a single "S" switch on the 100Q...
