Here's one you won't see on a car list every day.
Thought I ruined a perfectly good pair of jeans doing some brake
work...carbon dust, grease, who knows what else..absolutely black.

Overnight with Shout Gel, pre-treat with undiluted simple green, Tide
Liquid,  toss in about 2 oz. bleach for good chemical measure.
Stand back.

They came out like I only wore 'em to church on Sundays....

Man, I know I'm gonna get crap for this...but we've all been there.
