Replacing tranny mounts
Hi List!
Yesterday I attempted to replace my tranny mounts. The left one was an
easy job, but the right one... the damn thing vritually _welded_ itself
to the bolt. And the bolt is frozen to the transmission bracket as well.
I've noticed that both the mount and the tranny bracket are made of
aluminium while the bolt is steel. Nothing could free it - penetrating
oil, hammering, levering with a large screwdriver - nothing. My mechanic
is fighting with it at the moment - I hope he will find a way to remove
it. Does anyone know a penetrating oil designed to free the steel to
aluminium connections? The one I was using doesn't seem to do any good
:-(
