Porsche modesty...(no Audi content)

I just visited the Porsche web site describing the new 911...  
I think the folks from Zuffenhausen should win some kind of international
hubris award.  The page starts out:

"What happens when the gross weight of all man's technological
achievement is applied to one thing?  When thousands of years of human
knowledge are applied to four wheels and an engine?  The result is not
merely a machine..."  Charleton Heston, where are you??

With all of that gross weight it's a miracle the cargo ships don't sink
straight to the bottom on their way over from Germany  ;-).
