Re: $aabs
In defense of Igor,
I was walking by a gas station off of the Sheridan 'El train in Chicago
tonight and spied an '87 (I asked) Saab 900 TROUBle with the hood clamshelled
open that most definitely had belts at the back of the motor in very close
proximity to the firewall. Unless it was my imagination that a large,
belt-driven, suspiciously rotary-A/C-compressor looking thing is mounted on
the upper-driver's side of the motor facing backward toward the passenger
compartment. The engine compartment looked even more fiendishly inhospitable
than what I thought was overkill on my Quattro.
The problem on the car was that the headlights weren't working. Tough to get
at when the hood opens that way.
Best Wishes,
Alex
