never liked forward opening hoods.  unless it's the whole forward body ala
Triumph Spitfire so you can sit on the road wheel (to tune it, to drive it).
forward hinged hoods are in the way, plain and simple, of one of the three sides
you can lean over to cosset your engine.

there must be some advantages though, what are they?  my Vega hinged forward, but
what does that prove?
