New Bosch Plugs for V8

Well folks, went to smog test my V8 for license renewal, and voila, high
HC.
Hmmm...I said. Vacuum leaks? Nope. Breather Hoses? Nope Air Filter? Nope

Rotors/Caps Wires? Nope! Hm... Just replaced those plugs at 140K (165+K
Now).
Could it be? Put in a set of NGK's (Triple electrode) Presto!! Low HC.
Put back the Bosch's, and guess what...High HC.
Gap looks too big, electrode kind of warn down but not radically, and
for the price I would think 25K Miles would be a short life. Who makes a
100K plug?

So, I looked back at my maint. logs, and the NGK's lasted about the same
before the V8
surging blues would return. Moral to the story? Looks like 25-30K seems
to be the length
of plug life in my car.

Anybody else with a V8 tried them there new fangled 4 tip bosch plugs as
well?

Off to Tokyo Sunday. Will report back on the show from the press office
at the
Makuhari Messe.
