Increasing boost



I was wondering. Somebody suggested that you can cut one of the larger vac
lines on the intake manifold, tee it, and run it to the top side of the
wastegate. The larger hoses see something like 2 pounds higher than from
the frequency valve. True? How 'bout this: Putting a restrictor inline
with the hose running to the bottom side of the wastegate to lessen the
pressure it sees. As all know, I look for cheap (or free!) power.
I figured by disconnecting the fv, the engine will lose it's adaptiveness
while going up or down hills. Not a big problem, but something I observed
when I disconnected the lead going to it.
