V8Q Dies on Reverse Shift

Well, been on the road with the V8Q for a whole
week since finally getting the parts to button
up the engine after the Timing Belt Change.

The car runs very well (took about a week for
the car to "learn" my driving style after two
weeks of battery disconnect), BUT, the car
dies when shifted into REVerse from DRive.
If the car is at idle in Park or Neutral and
it's shifted into reverse, no problem. When
it's being driven in Drive, and needs to be
shifted into Reverse for maneuvering or parking,
the idle takes a nose dive and the engine dies.
If the car is shifted into Neutral from DRive,
and held in neutral for about 10 seconds, REverse
engages without the RPM's falling/engine dying.

Anyone have any ideas, or hopefully BTDT?
