Having recently re-soldered the solenoid connections
on the '84 5KS, it would SEEM to be easy to realign
the arm, since the motor is so easily removed/installed.
Put the box back in the car, get the car up to operating
temperature, set the cabin temp on the head unit to max
and see where the motor stops. Manually push/pull the cable
until you get heat coming out, put the cable on it's
programmer clip, and the end of the cable should be
exactly where you want the end of the arm.
This should work, if Audi follows any kind of logic, but
then again, I wouldn't bet the farm on it, never having
BTDT.
